The faculty of mathematics prepares experts for research, industrial and pedagogical activities.

Graduates of the faculty work in research, developmental and educational institutions, in departments of the management information systems and computer centers of the enterprises of Northwest of the Russian Federation.

Majors (full-time tuition period if 5 years):

• 010101.65 Mathematics (full-time tuition). Qualification of Mathematician is conferred.
• 010501.65 Applied Mathematics and Computer Science (full-time tuition). Qualification of Mathematician. Systems Programmer is conferred.
• 230201.65 Information Systems and Technologies (full-time, correspondence tuition (5,5 years), abbreviated tuition by correspondence (4 years)). Qualification of Engineer is conferred.

Bachelor Degree Program (apprenticeship is 4 years):

• 080700.62 Business Computer Science (full-time, correspondence tuition (4,5 years), abbreviated tuition by correspondence (3 years)). Qualification of Bachelor of Business Computer Science is conferred.

Bachelor Degree Programs within the scope of a major (no separate admission, apprenticeship is 4 years):

• 010100.62 Mathematics (full-time tuition). Qualification of Bachelor of Mathematics is conferred.
• 010500.62 Applied Mathematics and Computer Science (full-time tuition). Qualification of Bachelor of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science is conferred.
• 230200.62 Information Systems (full-time tuition). Qualification of Bachelor of Information Systems is conferred.

Students enrolled to major in specialities 010101, 010501, 230201 after 4 years of syudies may receive a Bachelor's degree in the corresponding area. To apply for a Master Degree Program the Bachelor's degree is necessary.
